Our bus maintenance team recently won first place! Our First Place Maintenance Team consists of Tracy Nicometo, & Fernando Murrieta, and Stephen Leung. They placed first out of 43 teams! All 3 team members are employees of Transdev.

The International Bus Roadeo is a unique opportunity for bus operators and maintenance teams. The Roadeo is an annual competition of driving skills and maintenance disciplines. The competition encourages the highest degree of professionalism in bus operators and technicians, and builds camaraderie among all those who compete. Through sportsmanship and pride of work, the APTA International Bus Roadeo stands as a symbol of the important role bus operators and technicians play in providing transit’s customers with safe, reliable service.

The technicians’ competition tests and measures the team’s knowledge and skills. Technicians are required to diagnose and repair complaints of low power, excessive smoke, harsh shifting, or other performance related problems. The events the teams compete in include a written test, a vehicle inspection, a transmission event, an air brake event, and an HVAC event, among many others.
